HANDON'S dried BIO oregano is hand-picked in the South of France. Leaves and stems are separated by hand as the stems have a disturbing taste, this falsifies the fine taste of the oregano. After separation the fine leaves are carefully dried. The smell and taste of French oregano is very intense and therefore less oregano is needed for cooking than fresh oregano.
Unfortunately, more and more herbs are treated chemically due to the high demand. Starting with dried, over freeze-dried to fresh herbs. Even the fresh herbs so popular today in the supermarkets are often treated. So you have to be very careful what you buy today.
The oregano is packaged in an white aroma bag and this aroma bag in a paper can, so the packaging is completely recyclable. With this product we have completely dispensed with plastic.
